Mitch

Mitch was in college in the early 1990’s at the University of Central Oklahoma studying in the field of Public Relations in Oral Communications. He landed a random job to help pay for it while on a scholarship. That job happened to be at LensCrafters in a mall in OKC as a cashier. Enamored by everything else going on in the store [where you could watch your glasses being made in 1hr with the lab techs through a looking glass -much like watching donuts being made at a famous confectionary], to personal frame styling as well as opticianry involving measuring, dispensing and solving any issue arising from a prescription and it’s function to custom adjustments and repair while consulting with Optometrists. He is a college drop out; driven by optics…and the rest is history 🙂 .

“I had the honor and privilege as being a sitting member of the American Board of Opticianry from 2002 through 2018 after a 2 year apprenticeship under my mentor and subsequent dear friend to this day Jeffrey McVicker.”

Mitch and his spouse started their family over 3 decades ago, a couple of years after his optical endeavors began and have lived in multiple states across our amazing United States of America where he has worked in management ranging from retail to private practices as well as laboratories fabricating eyewear.

“My family was completed in 2015 with the adoption of our dear son Philip, where I took a few years off to cement a firm family foundation and the sanctity and security of it. After taking that essential time away from optics, we moved to the metroplex a few years ago where my passion for this business was able to be resumed and reinvigorated.”

I want every patient and client to know that Dr. Lam and Dr. Nguyen are among the very best and have the highest standards I have ever had the privilege of working with and I am so exhilarated to be a member of this team! Come see Hope, Lexi and me for a great experience selecting eyewear: we love to have fun and always give honest and sincere opinions regarding style and equally important the selection and function of lenses that will work for you!

-Mitch
